| In 1951, the SGA instituted a form of competition within the Southern Amateur Championship, called the BOB JONES FOUR BALL TEAM COMPETITION, in which players represent their state. All players are eligible, and the winning team is comprised of the four players from a particular state who post the lowest four man score at the time of the cut. Each player is awarded the plaque shown on the previous two pages. |
